We’re Kim + Caitlin, the sewists behind Against The Grain Fabrics. You may know us from our other business ventures, but there’s one thing no one can dispute – we LOVE fabrics! So much so that we joined together to combine our strengths and style to bring you Against The Grain Fabrics!

Kim is based in Kingston – that’s where all orders ship from. Caitlin is based in Sudbury. If you’re a Sudbury area local, you can pick up your orders from her!

We work together to bring you a mix of fun prints (often with coords) each round that will suit a wide range of styles. We know that some of you are sewing for littles, some are sewing for yourselves, some are sewing for those with *ahem* more advanced age. Whether you’re making apparel or accessories, our aim is to offer prints that will make you go ‘ooOOOOoo’ no matter who you’re sewing for.

One thing (of many) that we stand for is supporting real artists. That’s why we are committed to bringing you prints that are hand drawn by a real human who has spent actual time honing their craft and style. We recognize that AI is becoming a part of artistic workflows more and more, but are working hard to support fully hand-drawn as much as we can.
